HOW TELEHEALTH WORKS

1
Register
Start by registering online or calling 240-663-5467 during telehealth hours.
After registration, we will connect you virtually to a provider.
2
Virtual Visit
During your telehealth visit, your health care provider will review your medical history and conduct a virtual exam before providing a diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Prescriptions will be transmitted electronically to your pharmacy.
3
What's Next
After your virtual visit, your health care provider will send you a secure e-mail with patient care instructions, a summary of the visit, referral instructions, and other visit documents.
Refills of prescriptions can be made during Telehealth visits, when appropriate. Please provide a photo of your prescription or the phone number of the pharmacy where it was filled for verification purposes. Opioids and certain other medications, such as medications to treat ADHD, are not prescribed during Telehealth visits.
If your health care provider determines your condition requires in-person evaluation and care, rather than a Telehealth visit, he or she will direct you to the your personal physician, or the nearest hospital Emergency Room
